August 11, 2016 six long-range bombers Tu-22M3 struck concentrated attack with high-explosive ammunition on objects of the terrorist group "Islamic state" in areas of the south-east, north and north-west of Raqqa city.
The bombers took off from an aerodrome located on the territory of the Russian Federation. All flight time in the conflict area the bombers were covered by Su-30cm and Su-35S fighters.
As a result of strike there were destroyed a large cache of weapons, ammunition, fuel and oil, near the city of Raqqa. Also there were blown up a factory for the production of chemical weapons in the north-western outskirts of the city, as well as a large field training camp of Daesh militants.
