Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia and Belarus have already begun working out the conditions for transferring the republic’s oil flows from Lithuania to Russian ports.
“This work has begun, it is going on. I think it will be completed in the coming weeks. Also in September,” quotes the head of the Ministry of Energy Interfax.
According to him, the elaboration of this project will take place taking into account the interests of ports, railway operators and the oil producers themselves.
Novak noted that the authorities have focused on a quick study of the issue, to complete it in September. Russian ports have free capacity, the official said.
“Volumes are also a subject of negotiations, we estimate the potential at 3-4 million tons of oil products, there may be other figures,” Novak TASS quotes.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that a group had been created in Belarus to empower the government. The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Roman Golovchenko.
