Writer Sergei Komkov nominated Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The author announced this at a press conference “On the nomination of Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021”, which was broadcast on the YouTube channel of “Rosbalt”.
“It was sent on September 9 this year, and on September 10 this application was received by the Nobel Peace Committee in Oslo, to the headquarters of the Nobel Committee,” Komkov said.
Komkov had previously nominated Putin for the 2014 Peace Prize. The writer explained that then he was prompted to this settlement by the Russian leader of the conflict in the Middle East and Syria.
Komkov also condemned the initiatives to nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize the founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) Alexei Navalny and ex-candidate for president of Belarus from the opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
