Alexander Gintsburg, head of the Gamaleya Center, which created the first vaccine against COVID-19, told RIA Novosti about his readiness to help the sick US President Donald Trump, if an official appeal is made to the Russian authorities.

Earlier, Trump announced that he and First Lady Melania Trump had coronavirus confirmed. US President’s physician Sean Conley said that both Trump and his wife are doing well and that he expects Trump to continue serving as head of state “without interruption.”

“I think that if they officially turn to the Russian authorities, we will be able to help them,” Gunzburg added.

The developer of the domestic “Sputnik V” advised colleagues of US President Donald Trump to be vaccinated with the Russian vaccine.
“I think that they will sort it out with their president after all. God grant that everything will be fine there. It would be nice to have him vaccinated (with the Russian vaccine), by the way!” – said Gunzburg.

To a clarifying remark that Trump has already tested positive for coronavirus, the expert drew attention to other government officials in the States, indicating that “there is also a vice president there.”
