During a meeting with Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that gasification rates have slowed down in the country.
Mr Miller replied to the President that gasification will be fully completed by 2030.
“I know that the company has big plans in this sense (for gasification – Kommersant). Gasification issues have been in the center of your attention all the time, however, at some point the pace has slowed down, ”the President said. “Citizens have a lot of questions in this regard. Of course, people want to know the plans for the development of gasification in Russia”, the head of state added.
“Vladimir Vladimirovich, in accordance with your instructions, goals for 2030 have been determined. By 2030, the technically possible gasification in our country will be 100% completed”, the head of Gazprom said.
Mr. Miller added that network gasification will be fully completed in 35 regions of Russia by the end of 2025, which will amount to 90.1% of the technically possible network gasification in the country.
As a reminder, in October 2020, Vladimir Putin said that the main thing in the Russian gasification program is to provide the “last mile” and bring gas to the end consumer. At the investment forum “Russia Calls!” he noted that priority was given to the synchronization of the laying of main gas pipelines with the capabilities of the regions to organize the “last mile”.
