The Black Sea Fleet will be replenished with a new small rocket ship “Graivoron” on January 30, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
“Solemn events in honor of the adoption of the small missile ship Graivoron into the Black Sea Fleet will be held in Sevastopol. During the event, the ceremony of raising the St. Andrew’s flag on the ship, a solemn meeting with the participation of representatives of the Black Sea Fleet command, military personnel and veterans of the Black Sea Fleet will take place,” the official statement said.
“Grayvoron” is the ninth ship of the modernized series built for the Black Sea Fleet, “Buyan-M”. The seagoing vessels of this series have an increased displacement and are equipped with the latest high-precision missile system “Kalibr-NK”. In August, a new small missile ship arrived at the Novorossiysk naval base for state tests.
