Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev was vaccinated against the coronavirus with one of the domestic vaccines, he said in an interview with Russian media.
He noted that all vaccines produced in the country are “effective and capable”, however, to choose a specific one, it is worth discussing this with a doctor.
“I was vaccinated two months ago … One of the Russian vaccines. Why do I say that? To avoid the feeling that some vaccine is better than another,” Medvedev quotes RIA Novosti.
He added that he suffered the vaccination “very calmly.”
Speaking about Russian vaccines against coronavirus, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council recalled that there are already three types of them, and they all differ in terms of biological components and the means of delivering anti-virus responses that they use.
“We have tested these vaccines, they are recognized as safe, and they must be used, and this is what we focus on,” Medvedev recalled.
He also stressed that vaccines “should work everywhere” and there should not be a “vaccine race”. According to him, he would very much like to return to normal life as soon as possible, however, the existing sanitary protection measures, he stated, will still be preserved for some time.
