The executive director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK, is included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent) Vladimir Ashurkov declined to comment on the video in which he allegedly talks with an employee of the British Embassy. His words are quoted by “Echo of Moscow”.
“I have a principle not to comment on the dirt that state propaganda dumps on me and my colleagues.
Of course, the publication of this video is connected with the return of Alexei [Navalny], mass protests, and a sentence, ”Ashurkov explained.
On February 1, RT published a video allegedly filmed in a Moscow restaurant in 2012. On the recording, a person similar to Ashurkov says to his interlocutor: “If we had more money, we would certainly expand our team. A person who spends here … I don’t know, 10-20 million dollars a year on support will see a completely different picture. “
In addition, according to RT, the FBK employee announced the active participation of the “MI-6 ambassadorial station” in working with the Russian opposition, “supporting various NGOs, giving them grants.” Ashurkov’s interlocutor, according to the TV channel, was a British diplomat, “whom the FSB considers an MI6 agent.”
