The volume of supplies of non-primary non-energy goods from Russia abroad in 2020 amounted to $ 161.3 billion against $ 155.1 billion in the previous year, the Russian Export Center (REC) reported.
According to REC, this is a new absolute record, which has become the third in a row.
“Despite all the difficulties, Russian exports of non-primary non-energy goods last year set a record. By the end of 2020, we have reached the psychological border of $ 161.3 billion in export deliveries, which is higher than in 2018 ($ 154.3 billion) and 2019 ($ 155.1 billion),” said REC CEO Veronika Nikishina (quoted by RIA News”). In addition, in December 2020, Russia reached the maximum indicator for non-resource non-energy exports ($ 18.8 billion). The previous record was in December 2017 ($ 17.9 billion).
The structure of the NOE was based on metal products (20.8%), engineering products (17.7%), food (17.3%) and chemical products (16%). In the export of agro-industrial products, the greatest growth was shown by exporters of wheat, whose supplies increased by more than $ 1.8 billion, and sunflower oil (an increase of more than $ 600 million). The export of polyethylene also showed an increase (by $ 449 million compared to 2019).
According to the center, most of the goods of non-resource non-energy exports were delivered by Russian exporters to China ($ 16.4 billion), Kazakhstan ($ 12.3 billion), Belarus ($ 9.4 billion), Turkey ($ 8.15 billion) and the Netherlands ($ 6, 2 billion).
