Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is confident that he was misinformed about the Russian Iskander-E missile system. The press secretary of the Prime Minister Mane Gevorkian stated this, Sputnik Armenia reports.
According to her, Pashinyan told Russian President Vladimir Putin about this during their recent telephone conversation.
Gevorgyan also added that the words of the prime minister about Russian weapons do not in any way relate to the Armenian-Russian allied relations in the field of military and military-technical cooperation.
“There is no doubt also the fact that Russian weapons are one of the best in the world,” the press secretary emphasized.
She noted that Yerevan intends to continue close cooperation with Moscow at all levels.
On February 24, Nikol Pashinyan called the Russian Iskanders unworkable. Later, the Russian Federation stated that the Armenian leader was misled about the use of Russian weapons in Nagorno-Karabakh.
