The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with 36 OneWeb communication satellites was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome.
This was reported by the press service of Roscosmos.
“The Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with the Fregat upper stage and a new batch of 36 OneWeb communication satellites on board was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome,” the ministry said on Twitter.
It is specified that at 05:57 Moscow time the upper stage Fregat separated from the third stage of the rocket.
Earlier, the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Fregat upper stage and 38 foreign spacecraft were launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
In November, it was reported that OneWeb is planning eight to ten launches of its satellites from the Vostochny, Baikonur and Kuru spaceports in 2021.
