The rhetoric of the Ukrainian leadership regarding the conflict in Donbass has gone far and can lead to the most dire consequences.
This was stated by the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
“The rhetoric of the Ukrainian leadership, increasing tension, exacerbating the conflict, has gone far and is fraught with the most dire consequences,” Volodin wrote on Telegram.
According to him, Kiev is counting on the help of Western partners in the situation with the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.
“If the radical Ukrainian politicians believe that they will get away with everything they do in the LPR and DPR, then this is not so,” the chairman of the State Duma noted.
He stressed that the actions of the Ukrainian authorities are aimed at escalating the conflict and intimidating people, and not at resolving it.
Volodin called on the Ukrainian authorities to implement the Minsk agreements as soon as possible.
“Stop escalating the situation in Donbass if you don’t want to end your political career in The Hague,” the speaker added.
Earlier, State Duma Chairman Viacheslav Volodin, commenting on the death of a child in Donbass on his Telegram channel, stated the need to discuss the exclusion of Ukraine from the Council of Europe.
On April 3, the People’s Militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic reported the death of a child as a result of an attack by a Ukrainian drone.
