The beginning of hostilities in Donbass from Kiev will be the beginning of the end of Ukraine, Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia said.
Russia will be forced to defend its citizens in Donbass, depending on the scale of the conflict, he said. The United States, most likely, is not pushing Zelensky to aggravate the conflict in Donbass, Kozak said.
About Zelensky’s trip
Kozak believes that the trip of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Donbass is unlikely to lead to an escalation of the situation in eastern Ukraine, but Kiev is “playing with matches.”
“I don’t think that his [Zelenskiy] trip to Donbass will be associated with an aggravation. In answer to the first question, I noted that today it is difficult to predict how much these children will play out with matches. It’s difficult just to predict how much they will play out. the fact that he went is an element of the same game, “Kozak said.
Earlier it became known that Zelensky arrived in Donbass, where he intends to visit the advanced positions of the army and meet with Ukrainian military personnel.
Russia’s proposal to open the Donbas negotiations has sparked Kiev’s hysteria, Kozak said. He believes that confidentiality in the negotiations on Donbass is necessary for Kiev to pursue its line and misinform its citizens.
Kozak said that Russia is in favor of the full openness of the Minsk talks on Donbass and the publication of relevant documents.
“Ukraine is afraid to reveal its inconsistency. They are afraid to speak publicly,” he said.
