Ukraine can start military actions against Crimea, staging provocations with the help of the United States with the death of its soldiers and the loss of equipment, said the secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.
He is quoted by RIA Novosti on Wednesday, April 14.
“Flirting with the new US administration, Kiev is ready to plunge the country into military adventures, despite the further deterioration of the economic situation in the country,” Patrushev said at a meeting on ensuring national security on the peninsula.
He noted the frequent statements from Kiev about plans to establish control over Crimea by force. Such rhetoric is supported by Washington, Patrushev noted.
According to him, training centers for saboteurs appeared in Ukraine “at the suggestion of Western sponsors.” He did not rule out that the graduates of these centers will be “aimed at preparing terrorist attacks not only in Russia, but also on the territory of other states.” He added that the threat of terrorist attacks remains in Crimea due to the activities of the United States, a number of EU countries and Ukraine.
Earlier in April, the secretary of the Security Council said that Moscow did not plan to intervene in the conflict in Donbass, but would take concrete steps if necessary.
