The Magistrate’s Court in Moscow passed a verdict against Lyubov Sobol, a lawyer of FBK*, in the case of illegal entry into someone else’s apartment.
The court sentenced her to one year of probation.
“The court ruled to impose a suspended sentence on Sobol in the form of correctional labor for a period of one year with a deduction of 10% of his salary in favor of the state,” the judge said.
As reported by RIA Novosti, Sobol was also appointed one year of probation.
A visiting session on this case is taking place in the Perovsky Court of Moscow.
The court found Sobol guilty under Part 2 of Art. 139 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Violation of the inviolability of the home, committed with the use of violence”).
In February, the UK announced the completion of the investigation into the case against Sobol.
According to the investigation, on December 21, 2020, Sobol repeatedly tried to enter the apartment of an elderly woman located in a house in the Eastern District of the capital. To achieve her goal, she presented herself as an employee of Rospotrebnadzor. According to the convict, an employee of the special services of Russia lived in this apartment.
