There is no opposition to the Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missiles in the world today. This was stated by the head of the state corporation “Rostec” Sergei Chemezov, reports TASS.
According to him, the invincibility of missiles is primarily associated with the high accuracy of the weapon – the missiles hit the target at a long distance. “Plus a very high speed – it is practically impossible to intercept such a missile. So far today there is no such opposition to our missiles,” Chemezov described the armament.

In late August, analysts from the US Congressional Research Service released an updated report, Hypersonic Weapons: Background Information and Questions for Congress. They acknowledged the lag in the development of American hypersonic weapons and noted the progress in the development of Russian hypersonic systems. Thus, the Dagger air-launched hypersonic missile has been on experimental combat duty since 2017.
According to open data, the “Dagger” is a modernized version of the 9M723 quasi-ballistic single-stage guided solid-propellant missile of the Iskander complex, which is carried by the MiG-31K long-range supersonic all-weather fighter-interceptor.
