Russian President Vladimir Putin, due to the detected cases of coronavirus in his environment, must observe the regime of self-isolation, the Kremlin press service said.
“President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Vladimir Putin said that in connection with the detected cases of coronavirus in his environment, he must observe the regime of self-isolation for a certain period of time,” the message says.
On the eve of the Russian leader, while communicating with the Paralympians, he said that many in his circle are sick with coronavirus. He noted that it is necessary to figure out what is really happening, adding that he thinks that he will have to quarantine himself soon.
Later, press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the president was speaking figuratively.
The Russian leader was vaccinated against the coronavirus with the Sputnik V vaccine in the spring. The head of state has repeatedly stated that his antibody titers “keep well” after vaccination.
