The system for dropping service dogs was developed in Russia.
This was announced on August 26 in an interview with TASS by the general director of the Tekhnodinamika holding (part of Rostec) Igor Nasenkov.
“A harness for dogs has been developed, which is used in conjunction with special-purpose parachute systems. It has been transferred for state tests to the State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The planned completion date is December 2021,” — he said.
The Army-2020 International Military-Technical Forum opened on the territory of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center of the Russian Armed Forces on August 23 and will run until August 29. Part of the demonstration shows are also held at the Alabino training ground, the Kubinka airfield and the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region. Representatives of about 100 countries of the world are planning to visit the forum. More than one and a half thousand organizations and enterprises will demonstrate about 28 thousand exhibits. Almost 700 pieces of modern weapons and military equipment take part in static and dynamic displays.
