Residents of a number of districts of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which should be transferred to the Azerbaijani side, burn their houses.
Sputnik-Armenia reported this on Friday, November 13.
According to journalists, there are many minibuses and trucks among the traffic. People take out everything that is possible: household utensils, furniture, animals.
In addition, residents of Lachin, Kelbajar, Aghdam districts burn down their houses, shops and other buildings, writes Gazeta.ru.
In accordance with the trilateral agreement, the Aghdam region will be returned to Azerbaijan by November 20. Until November 15, Armenia returns the Kelbajar region, and until December 1 – Lachin region.
This agreement was signed on November 9 by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In addition, the agreement provides for the introduction of Russian peacekeepers into the region, the exchange of prisoners between the parties to the conflict and the return of refugees to Karabakh.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted the key role of Putin in resolving the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
At the same time, the agreement sparked protests in Yerevan. The protesters disagree with this document. In turn, Pashinyan, in an address to the nation, explained why he signed the agreement. He said that he did it to save the lives of the military. According to the prime minister, the document does not imply a final settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but only ends the war in the region.
