The interdisciplinary engineering center “Composites of Russia” of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University has developed a special program to track negative content and harassment in social networks.
“With its help, it will be possible to quickly track news related to inciting ethnic hatred, bullying of students and schoolchildren, etc. This is very important, especially when many areas of life are immersed in the Internet and online,” the experts noted.
It should be noted that this program can identify keywords on the Web and find the original sources of bullying reports. After determining the primary source, the algorithm turns on the monitoring system and begins to monitor the situation. The program will follow the messages for two weeks. The system has already been patented and can be used this year.
According to the results of the Mail.ru Group study, it turned out that more than half of Russians have faced bullying on social networks. Moreover, every fourth inhabitant of the country became a victim of bullying. The most common forms of expression of aggression are one-off comments, condemnation and trolling.
