The General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces issued a statement in which it confirmed its position regarding the demand for the resignation of the Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan and his government.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff.
The report says that the statement of the General Staff, published on the morning of February 25, “was not sent by anyone and was not made under someone’s pressure.”
“This is a clear conviction and position of generals and officers, whose goal is one – to serve the salvation of the Motherland at this crucial moment. We will once again confirm our clear position, “- quoted by TASS.
On the morning of February 25, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia demanded Pashinyan’s resignation.
After that, the Prime Minister of Armenia called the statement of the General Staff calling for his resignation an attempt at a military coup.
Pashinyan also stated that the situation in Armenia is manageable and can be resolved peacefully.
