School and health are excluded respectively because already affected by a close strike and by the will of the same unions. The guarantee bands for local public transport.
MILAN – Back on general strike, called by CGIL and UIL with the dissent of CISL, to protest against the Maneuver of the Draghi government. “Together for justice” is the slogan chosen by the two unions for the agitation of eight hours of December 16. Planned a national demonstration in Rome and the simultaneous holding of interregional initiatives in four other cities: Bari, Cagliari, Milan and Palermo. Here is the picture of the impacts on citizens.
School and health, sectors and companies exempt from the strike
The general strike was the subject of an intervention of the Guarantor that has actually led to the exemption of some areas and some individual companies. The documents exchanged between the Authority and the trade unions do not clarify the request to postpone the strike or to cancel it altogether, but to “reformulate” the strike in the light of the principle of “rarefaction”, i.e. to avoid the scheduling of a strike within ten days of previous demonstrations, even of different unions. A request to which the same unions responded punctually. For December 16, therefore, have been excluded entirely the sectors of environmental hygiene and school (already affected by an agitation on December 10), the post office (on the day of conclusion of important payments, such as Imu). In addition to these sectors, the public and private health sector, including the RSAs, have been added to the list, on the initiative of the unions “to safeguard the priority right to health of citizens in this phase of pandemic emergency”.
