Spanish scientists reported that a treasure trove of ancient Roman coins was discovered in the north of the country. The discovery was made by a badger.
It is noted that the animal was digging in the ground in search of food and came across coins that were minted during the Roman Empire. Archaeologists have found more than 200 coins produced in the III-V centuries A.D., near the badger’s habitat.
Scientists believe that the coins found may not be the only find, and a larger treasure is hidden near the badger’s burrow.
