The press-secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that the visit of the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Moscow is agreed for February 15.
According to him, “substantive bilateral negotiations” are planned, followed by a press-conference.
Deutsche Welle reported earlier that Scholz was planning to visit Kiev and then Moscow on February 14 and 15.
Peskov also confirmed that Vladimir Putin will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Moscow on February 7 in the middle of the day. According to him, the meeting is planned to discuss the situation with the negotiations on Russian demands for security guarantees from NATO and the United States.
The talks will also be a good opportunity to “at least say a few words on bilateral relations, which are very important for Russia,” Peskov added.
