The Ministry of Health of Tunisia has registered the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V.
This is stated in a statement by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
The registration of the drug was issued based on an assessment of the results of clinical trials of the vaccine and was carried out under an accelerated procedure.
Earlier, the Russian vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik V” was registered in the first African country – Algeria. “The Russian Direct Investment Fund announces the first registration of Sputnik V in Africa. Algeria’s Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry registered Sputnik V on January 10, ”the drug developers said in a statement.
Sputnik V was developed by the Russian Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry and became the world’s first officially registered vaccine against coronavirus. Later, the Russian Ministry of Health registered another drug – “EpiVacCorona”, developed by the Rospotrebnadzor Center “Vector”.
