Russia and South Korea signed an agreement on defense cooperation

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin held talks on regional security in South Korea.

According to the Russian military department, in accordance with the agreements reached at the end of the strategic dialogue, the parties signed an agreement between Russia and Korea on cooperation in the field of defense.

During negotiations with his Korean counterpart Park Jae Min, Alexander Fomin also discussed regional security issues with an emphasis on the situation in Northeast Asia and on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the conversation also touched on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and the military field.

Also, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Korean Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yun Ui Chol.
