Russia and the UK were able to resolve the issue of supplying sanctioned electronics for the Russian Spektr-UF space telescope.
“Samples of flight products have been received from Great Britain – electronic blocks for a radiation receiver,” RIA Novosti quotes Mikhail Sachkov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
He noted that due to problems with sanctions, it was necessary to change the design of the instruments.
According to him, the delivery of all equipment should be completed in 2022.
On March 15, 14 research teams from different countries expressed their desire to take part in the scientific program of the Russian space ultraviolet observatory “Spectr-UF”.
