Russian servicemen arrived in Belarus to participate in the tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood – 2020”.
This was reported by the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“Units of the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces have completed redeployment to the Brestsky training ground to participate in the planned joint Belarusian-Russian tactical exercise“ Slavic Brotherhood – 2020, ”the statement says.
From the Armed Forces of Belarus, the military of the 38th separate guards air assault brigade of special operations forces will take part in the exercise.
“During the exercise, the military personnel of the two countries will work out the issues of joint actions in the implementation of tasks to combat terrorism, exchange experience in organizing and conducting special actions in the implementation of counter-terrorism tasks,” the department explained.
The joint Belarusian-Russian tactical exercises “Slavic Brotherhood – 2020” will be held at the Brestsky training ground in Belarus from September 14 to 25.
Russia also invited the military of Armenia, Belarus, China, Myanmar, Pakistan and Iran to participate in the Caucasus-2020 exercises.
