Former President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves compared the Russian Federation to the Third Reich and proposed to ban all Russian citizens from entering the territory of the European Union. He wrote about this on his Twitter microblogging page.
“We need a temporary ban on all visits from Russia, I’m talking about any visits. Before the invasion of Crimea, these people arrogantly demanded a visa-free regime with the European Union. You just need to freeze all visas, except for emergency cases related to family circumstances. Europe’s security is at stake. Enough, ”writes the former president of Estonia, known for his Russophobia.
It is worth noting that the Estonian authorities regularly make anti-Russian statements. Thus, a number of Estonian politicians believe that they will be able to present territorial claims to Russia under the Yuryev Peace Treaty of 1920.
Ilves compared the return of Crimea to Russia with the attack of Nazi Germany on Poland in 1939.
