The British authorities announced the introduction of personal sanctions against the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin, the press service of the foreign Office reported on July 6.
It is noted that the sanctions were imposed for Bastrykin’s involvement in the so-called “Magnitsky case”.
There are 47 people on the published sanctions list, including 25 Russian citizens.
Earlier, the Financial Times published a story claiming that British foreign Minister Dominic Raab is preparing to impose personal sanctions against a number of Russian citizens.
