An Aerolineas Argentinas plane has landed at Buenos Aires airport, which has brought a new batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, follows from the broadcast, which is being conducted by the Argentinean presidential administration on Twitter.
The first 300,000 doses were delivered to Argentina at the end of December. This board brought the same batch of the second component.
The vaccine is intended primarily for physicians and ICU staff.
On the eve of the Deputy Minister of Health Carla Vissotti said that more than 200 thousand Argentines had already been vaccinated.
The Sputnik V vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in cooperation with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. It is based on the well-studied human adenovirus vector platform. According to the results of data analysis at the final checkpoint in the post-registration study, Sputnik V showed an efficiency of 91.4 percent, and for severe cases – one hundred percent.
