US President Donald Trump yelled at his former national security adviser Michael Flynn during a dinner with the UK delegation after finding out that he had missed a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This was announced by a former senior British government aide who attended the event, Newsweek reports.
Nick Timothy, the former Downing Street chief of staff under former British Prime Minister Theresa May, told the podcast What You Were Thinking that during a formal dinner with fellow advisers in 2017 at the White House, someone “casually mentioned that Vladimir Putin asked to speak with [Trump] and right in front of us he [Trump] shouted down to Mike Flynn. “
“He really shouted. It was at a formal dinner with butlers and beautiful dishes – and he was shouting at him from across the table”, — Timothy said. He added that Trump yelled at Flynn: “If Putin wants to call me, just put him in touch with me”.
