Russia was the only country from which the meeting was attended not by the permanent representative himself, but by his deputy.
Russia at the meeting of US President Joe Biden with the permanent representatives of the UN Security Council member states was represented by the country’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the organization Anna Evstigneeva, First Deputy Representative Dmitry Polyansky said on his Twitter page.
“Russia was represented by Deputy Permanent Representative Anna Evstigneeva. She did not make any statements to the US President,” wrote Polyansky.
Earlier it became known that the American leader Joe Biden held a virtual meeting with the permanent representatives of the member states of the UN Security Council.
