CNN: US will expel Russian diplomats from Washington and New York

The US plans to expel Russian diplomats from Washington DC and New York.

Bloomberg previously reported, citing sources, that the US is about to impose sanctions on Russia in response to Moscow-attributed attempts to interfere with elections and cyberattacks using SolarWinds. According to the agency’s interlocutors, the US authorities are also planning to expel ten Russian officials and diplomats from the country.

According to the American TV channel, Russian diplomats will have 30 days to leave the United States.

On Thursday, April 15, a member of the Federation Council, first deputy head of the Committee on International Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov said that in the event of the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the United States, Russia reserves the right to mirror actions.
