White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre answered the question of whether the administration of US President Joe Biden supports Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
“Yes, we support,” TASS cites her answer to the corresponding question.
Jean-Pierre said that “the Biden administration is committed to keeping NATO’s doors open to candidates when they are ready and able to fulfill commitments.”
“They must fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of membership and contribute to the security of the Euro-Atlantic region,” the spokeswoman added.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the June NATO summit will discuss a roadmap for Ukraine’s entry into the alliance.
