US people celebrated the country’s main national holiday for the 244th time
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his American counterpart Donald Trump on the national holiday of the United States — Independence Day, which was celebrated on July 4.
“Yes. A congratulatory telegram was sent” said Dmitry Peskov, the press Secretary of the Russian President.
This year, US people celebrated the country’s main national holiday for the 244th time. It is timed to coincide with the adoption of the Declaration of independence in 1776, which declared the freedom of the United States from the rule of the British Empire.
In honor of the holiday, the capital of the country, Washington, held an air parade, which was attended by both historical aircraft that represented various eras of aircraft construction, since world war II, and modern technology.
